This weekend Julianna and I went to the NC mountains for Grandmama's family reunion. We had a great time and escaped the truly oppresive heat in Charlotte. The montage below has several pics from the reunion and some from the nature preseve that Ryan, Julianna, and I walked through on Monday.

Julianna got her very first cold this week :( - And then promptly gave it to me. So we were both pretty pitiful for most of last week. Muffin seems to be feeling better, but her nose is still quite runny and stuffy. I developed some bacterial infection in my throat from all the post nasal drip and ended up going to the dr's. I got on antibiotics and feel quite a bit better. Anyway, I really tried to get a pitiful picture of Muffin while she was feeling pretty poorly. But when I would get the camera out she would smile even though one second ago she looked generally miserable. She is such a little sweetie! Well I didn't get a ton of pics this week, but here are a few:

Today Julianna and I went to church with Grandmama and Granddaddy. I left her in the nursery for the first time today. It was the first time that I have EVER left her with anyone other than her grandmothers (and daddy, of course). They said that she did great. I have to admit that my mind was more on Muffin than on the Sermon....

Hello All! It's been a while since I really updated on Little Miss Julianna. She is still not sleeping great - though last night she slept for 10 hours straight! Let's keep our fingers crossed that this will be the new trend.
She has become increasingly obsessed with Buster (our little Boston Terrier). She just laughs and laughs whenever he is around. He is luckily very sweet and tolerant of her. If you ask her where Buster is she immediately looks down towards the ground and starts looking for him. She doesn't know "Mama", but she knows "Buster". Hmmm.
She is actually talking a lot more and saying "ma ma ma", "ba ba ba" and the like though she seems to use them pretty indiscriminately. Regardless, "Mama" is still music to my ears.
She is not crawling yet though she is doing the "trench crawl" or "wounded veterans crawl". I don't think it will be long before we are going to have trouble keeping up with her. Which means baby proofing the house is on the horizon. Ugh!
