Well, I haven't updated in a while. Julianna now rolls over in either direction like an old pro. She says "No More Tummy-Time for me - suckers!" She is also still trying to crawl a bit. She will get her knees underneath her body and then scoot forward. And she is also able to stand up by herself if she has something to hold on to. She isn't the steadiest little thing, but she does pretty well for a 5 month old. It just seems like everything is going so fast now. I saw a newborn baby at Target the other day and it is already hard for me to remember when Julianna was that little. I guess it is a good thing that I have over 1000 pics to remind me of these times that I think I will never forget, but then I guess I sadly do. Will there be a time when I don't remember what it feels like to hold her in my arms? Is it crazy to feel melancholy about missing the good old days when your baby is still only 5 months old??? Probably.

She really is trying to crawl. She's not quite there, but she is a VERY determined little girl. I bet it won't be long.

First Mother's Day

Yesterday was my very first Mother's Day - well, as a mother. I just felt so lucky all day long. I have so much to be thankful for on this day. The most incredible, happy, healthy child AND the world's best mother (I have a pretty great mother-in-law also). One of my friends told me before Julianna was born, that one of the things that really struck her when she gave birth to her first child was that she finally realized the depth of her mother's love for her. She said she thought "I can't believe my mother loves me this much". And now I know that it is true. When you have a child you not only experience what I am convinced is the truest of all loves, but you gain a new perspective on (and appreciation for) your own mother. And I too am saying "I can't believe my mom loves me this much".

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. I got a new camera which I am still trying to figure out. I'm not sure that I have it down quite yet. The pics are still a little grainier than they should be, so I have to do a bit more reading on focusing. My camera also takes videos, so hopefully I will soon be able to put links on the blog so that you can see them. Anyway here a few pics from the week:

Just a few pics from today. This kid is such a MESS! :) She is growing up soo fast. Ryan and I were just saying that we can't remember a time without her, yet we also can't believe that she is already almost 5 months old. Forever and the blink of an eye all at the same time.
